El escritor Javier Marías (Madrid, 1951) ha publicado la novela Berta Isla (Alfaguara), que en cierto sentido trata —según el propio autor— de la espera. “Hacía muchos años que quería abordar un tipo de novela de gente que vuelve de la guerra, gente que desaparece y reaparece o incluso no regresa”, cuenta Marías. Es miembro de la Real Academia Española. Ha publicado más de una decena de novelas, entre ellas Los enamoramientos (Alfaguara), con la que obtuvo el Premio Nacional de Narrativa en 2012.

Monika Zgustova: La historia de amor y castigo que inspiró la Lara de Doctor Zhivago (20/09/2017)

Antonio Ortuño (México, 1976) ha sido ganador del V Premio Ribera del Duero por La vaga ambición (Páginas de Espuma), un libro de relatos sobre las miserias de la vida literaria. Es uno de los autores mexicanos más destacados de su generación. Fue ganador del Premio de la Fundación Cuatrogatos, de Miami, al mejor libro juvenil por El rastro (2017) y finalista del premio Herralde de novela en 2007 por Recursos humanos. La revista británica Granta lo eligió como el único mexicano en su selección de mejores escritores jóvenes en español (2010).
